Company News >> Harm and protection of static electricity in LCD manufacturing process 18th,Oct,2018
The harm of static electricity to electronic products:
        (1) Electrostatic adsorption of dust reduces the insulation resistance of components to shorten the life;
        (2) Electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage, causing electronic components to fail;
        (3) The electromagnetic field generated by electrostatic discharge has a large amplitude and a very wide spectrum. Such static noise and electromagnetic interference make the electronic device unable to work normally or even be damaged.

LCD anti-static precautions:
        (1) Treat all components as static sensitive devices.
        (2) Never touch sensitive components or components without good grounding.
        (3) If the ICs are not on the process line or on the antistatic workbench, store them in a grounded shielded container.
        (4) The board with IC must be handled on an antistatic workbench.
        (5) The wristband and shoe cover should be tested every day to ensure that the parameters are met.
        (6) All instruments and equipment must be grounded.
        (7) The gas and liquid flowing through the IC should be kept at a low speed.
        (8) Do not take the IC installed in the anti-static tube without other anti-static measures.
        (9) A fixed-point ion eliminator is used in a process in which static electricity may be generated.
        (10) The wristband should maintain the body and ground potential.
        (11) The ESD protection workbench should maintain the device and ground equipotential.
        (12) Static insulation materials cannot be placed freely in the safety zone.
