According to a report released by DisplaySearch, the OLED market in the third quarter of this year (2007) was disappointing, mainly because Samsung SDI's AMOLED products could not achieve production targets; another reason was that LGE moved resources from PMOLED to AMOLED, and third. These five major suppliers together account for 98.5% of the market, which means that other operators only have a 1.5% share. Samsung SDI hopes to reach a target of nearly 2 million shipments in the fourth quarter, while RiTdisplay is expected to ship more than 7 million in the fourth quarter. Chi Mei EL has already started production of AMOLED with a production capacity of 16,000. The company hopes to double in the fourth quarter.
