On June 4, BOE A said on the investor interaction platform that the company's main production capacity is focused on flexible AMOLED and a-Si TFT LCD in terms of display screens for smartphones. According to a new report from the Korean media, Huawei and BOE teamed up to create its first foldable smartphone. Huawei said last month that it hopes to launch the world's first foldable smartphone in November this year.
It is understood that BOE began producing flexible OLED displays as early as 2017. According to the report, BOE will produce 8-inch folding OLED flexible panels, and Huawei will use its folding smart phones.
In addition, the report also mentioned that BOE received an order to develop four prototypes of foldable panels for two unnamed smartphone manufacturers. It is unclear whether BOE can meet the supply needs of the two smartphone suppliers.
