In early July, TV panel prices continued to fall. Panel oversupply is still a problem. In the meantime, TV makers are hoping for a lower price, thus holding back some of their purchases. Their conservative forecast of demand is eroding the confidence of the panel industry. TV makers still have to build seasonal demand inventories for their panels, brands need lower prices to help them sell and gain market share in the second quarter, so they will continue to demand price cuts.
