Company News >> iPhone next-generation products or accelerate the market out of the LCD screen 2
According to the U.S. media Recode, after three weeks of actual use, the user has adapted to the iPhone 7 without a 3.5mm headphone jack, but some users do not agree with Apple's promise of iPhone 7 battery life, iPhone 7's battery life may even be weaker than last year's iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s Plus, or older iOS operating system version.
As we all know, the main factors that affect the standby time of mobile phones come from the screen. At present, most of the commercially available smartphones except the Apple iPhone use the OLED display. Compared to the LCD screen, the OLED screen consumes less energy and provides a sharper and brighter display. In addition, the OLED screen is also flexible, that is, if you want to adopt the curved screen design or some other innovation, you can only use the OLED screen.
It is also based on the above points, the outside world generally believe that Apple's next generation iPhone will use OLED screen. As the product of the tenth anniversary of the launch of the iPhone, everyone's expectations of the next generation iPhone is not limited to the current design.

When it comes to the OLED screen, I have to mention Samsung. Although the recent negative impact of the Samsung Note 7 explosion on the company is very large, it does not affect Samsung's smartphone OLED display market. According to statistics, Samsung accounted for 99% of the global shipments of OLED displays in the first half of this year, and the market share of No. 2 and Hui Photoelectric is only 0.4%.
According to reports, Apple is negotiating with Samsung to supply the cooperation of OLED screen. But Apple's choice is not just Samsung, and Sharp, a maker of screens, announced that it had invested 200 billion yen in research and development of OLED products as part of its new strategy for the company's new owner, Foxconn. Of course, Foxconn itself is an important Apple foundry.
Also four years ago, three display companies, Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi, and their struggling LCD businesses, respectively, formed the Japanese display company, which owns 36% of the shares of the Japanese government-led Innovation Fund Corp. In 2014, Japanese monitors went public, but after making a profit in the year, the company has been losing money year after year. Although its revenue has been rising year by year, it is expected to decline 9% in the fiscal year ending in June.
On market opportunities for smartphones OLED screens, research firm IHS Markit predicts it will reach $ 18.6 billion by 2018, surpassing the LCD screen. If Apple's next-generation iPhone products can use the OLED display, then the millions of purchases will be ahead of the LCD screen out.
