Toshiba plans to build a joint venture in China by the end of this month to produce LCD panels that are primarily intended for mobile phones, according to Toshiba Mobile Display Co., a subsidiary of Toshiba's production of liquid crystal display (LCD).
A spokesman for the Toshiba Mobile Display said the company would hold less than 20% stake in the joint venture, China's Greentech Group (Greentech Group) holds about 60% stake in a Hong Kong investment company will hold a joint venture company 20 % Of the shares.
The joint venture is expected to be put into production in the first half of 2010.
