According to industry sources, the demand for flexible AMOLED panels in the smartphone industry will grow rapidly in 2017 due to the availability of new smartphones based on AMOLED, a major supplier of the industry.

According to sources, LG plans to launch at the end of August LG V30 high-end models. V30 will use 6-inch flexible AMOLED full-screen panel, the aspect ratio of 18: 9.
Samsung is also expected to announce its Galaxy Note 8 at a product launch in New York on August 23 this year. This new model is likely to use Samsung Display 6.3-inch flexible Super AMOLED surface display.
Researchers speculate that Apple will launch a new AMOLED version of the new iPhone in September, as well as two other LTPS TFT LCD models. The AMOLED version is expected to use the 5.8-inch flexible AMOLED display.

IHS Markit believes that flexible AMOLED smart phone panel shipments are expected to reach 161 million in 2017, while the rigid panel shipments will reach 288 million.
