Taiwan Hon Hai Precision Japan Sharp will be its small and medium LCD display (LCD) panel business into a joint venture between the two sides.
It is reported that Sharp is also in consultation with Intel, intends to Intel to issue convertible bonds to raise funds, and hope to reach an agreement at the end of this month.
The outside world has been expecting Hon Hai to play an important role in helping Sharp's rally, but the two companies have been pausing for weeks that are in need of funding negotiations.
According to sources, Hon Hai asked Sharp to divest and sell some of the small and medium-sized LCD business may make the situation more complex, because Sharp is reluctant to give up part of its core business, the business is regarded as the company to revive the key.
Previously, Hon Hai Group launched a large program called "Eye Plan", which aims to integrate all the eye-related components, including the mobile terminal touch panel and TV panel.
