According to Taiwan's "electronic Times" reported on March 25, Foxconn Electronics plans to invest in India LCD LCD color TV production line to meet the needs of Sony.
In 2014, Sony LCD TV shipments reached 14.5 million units, the industry pointed out that suppliers to maintain profit margins will focus on high-end models, it is expected this year, shipments will be flat with last year.
The industry further pointed out that in 2014 in the LCD TV market shipments, Sony was significantly behind Samsung Electronics. But Sony is trying to expand its market share in India, it is expected to catch up with Samsung in 2015, becoming the world's largest TV provider.
Foxconn is Sony's partner in LCD TV production, in order to meet the Sony side of the order, will set up production in India, the relevant equipment will be put into use in the second quarter earlier.
